WHERE DOES RADON GAS COME FROM?
​​Radon is a radioactive gas formed through the breakdown of uranium, a chemical element present in the soil. The process of uranium breakdown occurs naturally with intensity levels varying countrywide. The invisible gas thus formed rises from the soil and enters your home through the cracks in foundation or walls. Basement and other areas having direct contact with soil are the most prone to high radon levels. You are at a great risk if you spend four or more hours in areas susceptible to high levels of radon.
